RESPECTING RULES
In the back of the car somewhere between Phoenix and Tucson with Mom,
Dad, my friend, and her friends, we spoke simultaneously. I can’t remember
the word, just the jynx. Screaming with my mouth closed for a half hour
because she wouldn’t say my middle name. My parents curious, then furious
at their freak son while sister just shrugged with a twinkle. The car stopped.
Dad walked into the desert. But those were the rules of the game.

I need to remember not to read Cementhorizon comments at work in the morning while eating raisin bread.

At least, I need to not read THIS comment at work in the morning while eating raisin bread.

FYI, Dianna is not crazy, at least not in the way that would make her comment about a comment that doesn't exist. Some loony posted a bit of gore/erotica that horrified me to read while at work. So in a fit of panic, I deleted the comment.

I think of Quanta Recognitions as a open space, but I want it to reflect my sensibility and I felt the deleted post overrode what I am trying to acheive. I want to feel comfortable inviting my parents and coworkers to view the site, so please let me know if I need to take down a comment like that again.

...I'm not crazy?

Oh.

Guess I'll have to return the monkey suit, klezmer records and 5-volume set of Things People Will Hate You For Doing In Public.
